6°  Terre degli Elimi

Siamo alla quinta edizione del nostro festival ed il bilancio non può che essere positivo: cinque anni di appassionato impegno durante i quali abbiamo costantemente migliorato il livello tecnico dei nostri tornei grazie all’accurata selezione dei numerosi maestri stranieri fin qui intervenuti, quasi sempre per la prima volta in Sicilia.

I pochi coraggiosi partecipanti del 2010  si sono trasformati nei 100 protagonisti del successo del 2013 e nei 108 dell'ultima recente edizione finalmente in 9 turni e valida per i titoli FIDE internazionali.

We have reached the fifth edition of our festival and the balance can only be positive: four years of passionate efforts in which we have continuously improved the technical level of our tournaments thanks to the accurate selection of the many foreigners chess masters who have participated,  often for the first time in Sicily.

The few brave participants of 2010 became the 100 protagonists of the success of 2013, and so this year's "Terre degli Elimi" becomes of age and finally goes to the 9 rounds of play and to the full internationality.

 

I risultati non sono mancati: norma di GM per Twan Burg; norma di IM per Maria Manakova e, dulcis in fundo, norme di WIM e maestra FSI per Tea Gueci.

Le nostre caratteristiche organizzative restano le stesse: accoglienza, organizzazione meticolosa e curata nei dettagli, sobrietà, massima disponibilità nei riguardi di tutti gli ospiti, economicità del soggiorno e, lasciatemelo dire, tanta tantissima disinteressata passione per il nobil gioco.

Erice ci ha sempre ospitati al meglio, offrendo il suo clima mite, la sua quieta armonia e la bellezza dei propri monumenti e delle sue vedute panoramiche. 

Un ringraziamento particolare va al Comune di Erice e al sindaco Giacomo Tranchida che ci ha sempre seguiti con interesse e con fiducia e ci ha  concesso gratuitamente le strutture indispensabili allo svolgimento e alla buona riuscita della manifestazione.
Grazie mille a Caissa Italia e a Yuri Garrett per i suoi bellissimi libri offerti in premio e per i suoi consigli preziosi.
Grazie infine a tutti coloro i quali hanno supportato in vari modi la nostra manifestazione come Chess Bazar, Lilybetana Scacchi, Scacco Club Mazara, Hotel Villa San Giovanni di Erice.

 

The results are not missed: GM norm for Twan Burg; IM norm for Maria Manakova and, last but not least, the rules of WIM and teacher FSI for Tea Gueci.
Our organizational characteristics remain the same: reception, organization and meticulous attention to detail, simplicity, high availability with respect to all guests, cost of living and, let me tell you, so a lot of disinterested passion for the game of chess.
Erice has always hosted to best, offering its warm climate, its quiet harmony and beauty of its monuments and its panoramic views.
Special thanks to the City of Erice and the mayor Giacomo Tranchida who always followed with interest and confidence and granted us free of the structures needed for the performance and the success of the event.
